First time baker here!

I got a bread machine for Christmas and I can't wait to get started making bread for my little family. I love the idea of controlling the ingredients that go into the bread we eat, which in our house makes up a healthy (or not so healthy) percentage of our diet. I've made a few loaves, mostly plain white or wheat, just to get a feel for my machine and for bread-making in general. Here are a few things I've learned.

1. All purpose flour is different than bread flour.
2. Burned raisins smell terrible if they find their way out of the pan while mixing.
3. Bread making is an art and at times is messy.
4. Homemade bread, even when not perfectly made, will disappear quicker than you ever thought possible.

My hope is to share my bread machine experience with you. I'll learn as I go and share what knowledge I glean along the way. I promise not to use too many bread related puns, but in the end I'll do anything to get a
"rise" out of my readers...yuk, yuk, yuk :)
